Art Deco Style Bathroom Suites

What style of bathroom should I install?
We live in a rather quaint bungalow that was built in 1926 or 1927. We are finally getting round to updating the bathroom from the existing 1970s pampas (sage) green suite.
I am veering towards a traditional 1930s style basin and loo – art deco square shaped, with tongued and grooved panelling to midheight, painted maybe white with plain walls above painted maybe pale yellow or pale bluey green. We don’t have room for a separate bath and shower so I’m considering a shower bath with plain white tiles in the showering area.
How does this sound? I don’t want it to be old fashioned but traditional (to go with the age of the house) with a contemporary edge. There are no architectural features in the room and only a small rectangular window high up, and an airing cupboard at the end of the bath.
All opinions welcome – we’ve lived with the green suite for over 20 years so now we are finally doing it I want to get it right. Thanks
This sounds fabulous…love it..a nice soft blue green will be very calming and look very clean and crisp. Stick with your plan and I think you will be very pleased.
