Interior design: What is “Art Deco”?

I have to do a presentation board for my interior design class, and my instructor told me I should go with an Art Deco kind of style. Can someone please help me with this? Explanation, example, whatever…. Thanks :)
I’m 13, so, I don’t know, keep that in mind

Art Deco is semi difficult to describe without examples, but when somebody sees it, you know what it is. Some good sites for you to look at are below. Think roaring 20’s, “Chicago,” Jazz, lavish designs, Chrysler Building in New York, bright colors and glass block. . . . . and on and on.
